Word of the year

We’re almost half way through the year and it’s the perfect time for a self check-in. Rather than setting new year’s resolutions, I identified my ‘word of the year’ – a single, focused term to guide my choices and actions. My word was connect. It’s at the heart of my business, but it’s also how I want to interact with my loved ones, and feel in my own body.

Here's how it’s going so far:

I’ve enjoyed some new experiences with my family and made a conscious effort to practice active listening. I’d love to set a better example with phone use and have a few more date nights

I’ve embedded some new routines that make me feel more connected to myself. Facial massage has definitely been a game change, and I've pretty much cut out sugar. I’m still terrible stretching and slowing down

Through my business, we’ve helped 75 pairs of parents and children build their bond so far in 2025.

Having a word of the year has definitely helped me live more intentionally and strive to make the second half even better. Do you have a word that resonates with you right now?
