Tackling a phone obsession

I’m on a journey to try to become less phone-obsessed and have scored some little wins...

I’m not against photos (my camera roll is full of them). But I’m learning that not everything needs to be documented to count. I do often catch myself reaching for the phone when I don’t need to, but some of the richest, most meaningful moments don’t make it to my grid.

We bank deeper memories when we look at life through our own eyes. We also get more from that moment when we’re present and authentic rather than focusing on the light or the best angle. I’m trying (and often failing) to be more intentional — to really see the people I love, to feel the world around me, to live the moment instead of just capturing it. Here’s to all the beautiful bits of life happening quietly, just below the radar...
