... I secretly love the late-night kitchen chats. Why are they so much more chatty after 9pm?

... watching them become independent is both the most rewarding and the most heartbreaking thing

... even though they are bigger than me, they are still my babies and you better not make them sad!

... my food budget is a second mortgage. They can emopty the snack drawer in hours

... I've accepted 90% of my jumpers / shoes / make up are now communal

... my house is never quiet, always messy, and often full of their friends... and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
